NARRATIVE
On January 23, 2025, at approximately 14:45 hours, I received a call from Ms. Emily Johnson reporting the theft of her bicycle. Ms. Johnson stated that she last saw her red Honda mountain bike in her garage at approximately 18:00 hours on January 22, 2025. When she went to retrieve the bicycle at 13:30 hours on January 23, 2025, she discovered it was missing.
Ms. Johnson was uncertain whether the garage door had been locked the previous evening. There were no signs of forced entry observed. The bicycle had been secured to a bike rack inside the garage.
A neighbor, identified as Mr. Peterson, reported seeing a suspicious male near the complainant's driveway at approximately 10:00 hours on January 23, 2025. The suspect was described as a tall, thin male wearing a red hoodie with a logo, dark pants, and carrying a dark backpack.
FOLLOW-UP ACTIONS

- Bicycle serial number entered into stolen property database
- Patrol unit dispatched to canvas neighborhood
